This week we dedicate the post to our unsung hero of ‘The Lost World of Malcolm Ridge’ – the talented Amelie Edwards who was described by the Numb Bum reviewer as ‘excellent as the stern and calming voice of the Judge, adding a sense of authority, (interacting) with the characters from her position off stage and (doing) so well.’
Okay, it’s ten days after our run of ‘The Lost World of Malcolm Ridge’ and its time to introduce director Bob Eckhard whose task was made very easy by the fantastic actors around him!
(ps I feel the need to say the car in the background was old even for that time!)
Okay, it’s three days after the last performance of dystopian drama ‘The Lost World of Malcolm Ridge’ and its time to introduce the cast member who saved the show! Yes, I am referring to Tom Cove who stepped into the role of Simeon at short notice when the original actor became injured. I think all of us are still reeling at Tom’s amazing feat of being off-book within 24 hours of being asked. Tom – you are a legend!!!
Okay, we’re coming up to the fourth day of rehearsals for stage play ‘The Lost World of Malcolm Ridge’ and its now time to introduce the cast. This week, actor Stewart Briggs who plays Malcolm.
Big news is that the audition process is now complete and I am happy to announce the cast for ‘The Lost World of Malcolm Ridge’ who will start rehearsals this time next week in readiness for a one week run at the Tabard Theatre (July 15th-20th). These being:
Miranda Shrapnell – Abigail
Stewart Briggs – Malcolm
Nesba Crenshaw – Du Mont
Michael Harrison – Keele
Michael Ross – Simeon
Amelie Edwards – Judge
One of the best write ups we had for Tied to the Vicarage came from a Numb Bum reviewer. Given there was so much detail in the review, it was hard to know if they came more than one night such was the insight – truly thorough and much appreciated!
Hard to believe but it was six months ago today that our first lot of business cards arrived, ready to hand out to friends and family in advance of the Tied to the Vicarage production. Still, time rests for no one and half a year on, the dates for our latest production will be announced tomorrow! Exciting!
